Lead Editor & Co-author: Manual for Biochar Carbon Removal

@ International Biochar Initiative

The Biochar Manual for Carbon Removal was created to remove barriers to the biochar market by bringing together all the information required for project developers to set-up a carbon-financed biochar project, and for financial sponsors to understand the underlying assumptions behind carbon credits from biochar, into one easy-to-access manual.

Key Highlights

  • Project Management: Coordinated with research partners to identify Biochar Carbon Removal Standards to feature in the manual, performed outreach and interviews with industry representatives from each Standard, oversaw all research and writing processes.

  • Editor: Oversaw all content decisions, including topics, writing, and graphic design— ensuring that complex topics were translated accurately and in an accessible, engaging format.
